Antonio Liscidini

Antonio Liscidini received the Laurea (summa cum laude) and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, in 2002 and 2006, respectively.

He interned with National Semiconductors in 2003 and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia from 2008 to 2012, also consulting with Marvell Semiconductors.

In 2012, he joined the University of Toronto where is now Full Professor and Associate Chair Graduate. From 2019 to 2022, he consulted for Huawei Technology Group on RFIC for optical communication and SerDes, and since 2022, for Marvell Technology Group.

His research focuses on analog mixed signal interfaces, especially transceivers and frequency synthesizers for wireless-wireline communication and ultra-low power applications.

Prof. Liscidini has served as an Associate Editor for several IEEE Journals including JSSC and TCAS-II. He is Associate Editor in Chief for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs. He has been a member of many conferences, including ISSCC, ESSCIRC, and CICC.

Dr. Liscidini received the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE 2005 Symposium on VLSI Circuits, co-recipient of the Best Invited Paper Award at the 2011 IEEE CICC, and Best Student Paper Award at the 2018 IEEE ESSCIRC. He was a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE SSCS and is an IEEE Fellow.
